Wind Speed is an anemometer (wind meter) that works surprisingly accurate since it only measures inputs to iPhone's and Headphones microphone. Various algorithms isolate wind from other sounds like noise and human voice.

Wind Speed can not measure winds below 5mph because low wind does not make noise in microphone. If you measure wind while driving a car, try at 45 angle towards wind for better results!
