With all the major NOAA buoys available, the info supplied from the buoys lets you know what is happening with the ocean direct from the NOAA buoys. Watching the ocean while checking the buoy data on your iphone gives you insight for later as to what the conditions are when you can't see the ocean, a great learning tool. Finding buoys at other locations is a snap also. Waste of money for socal (1 star) No bouy info for southern california bouys.
