When you need a timer, you don't want to be navigating through a bunch of screens, or scrolling endlessly through the time picker just to set the right time. Timer takes the approach that for 99% (or maybe 100%) of the time, you'll need one of 9 different preset timers and up to 3 custom timers. With that assumption, they've made the interface Perfect (5 stars) Great app. Clever and clean interface. Especially like the fact that the length of the alarm tone varies based on the sound you choose. I hate timers that sit and sound until you turn them off. I mainly use timers to let me know when to switch tasks, but sometimes it takes a moment to finish up. I get the signal and don't have to break my flow to tell the timer "I heard you". Great app! Does what it says. (5 stars) 0 to useful in about 3 seconds. I now have one app that times my coffee, my barbecue, and my procrastination dashes/"pomodoro" sessions at work. Plus, if you leave a preset empty, you can tap it and key in a time to start a timer quicker than the Clock app. I love it.
