DescriptionNOTE: This application is geared towards tracking aircraft, and not intended for the casual traveler. It does not provide gate or seating information. It is intended for aviation professionals and enthusiasts.Flight Tracker Free is flightwise.com's ad-supported utility for tracking commercial or general aviation flights anywhere within United States airspace (only flights in US and Canadian airspace, including Alaska, Hawaii, parts of the Caribbean, and other US territories are supported at this time). Users can enter an aircraft tail number or an FAA flight ID, and a tracking map of the aircraft and its current position appears. To find flights out of a specific airport, users can enter a valid 3 or 4 letter FAA airport identifier, and a listing of arrivals and departures in and out of that particular airport will appear. Users can select individual flights to track from the listing. I was able to time my arrival at the airport to coincide with her landing time. The ride home involved some interesting discussion about the sharp turns back and forth during her flight...all of which I had seen on my iPhone. Sometimes, I just check to see what flights are flying overhead. Great Ap Not accurate for GA aircraft (1 star) Did not track my FAR part 91 IFR flight. It showed old data. Tried other N numbers and also showed old data. Useless app. (1 star) Won't find US Airways.
