Portland Rider is the transit tracking app you've been waiting for. Real-time information means that you won't have to wait forever in the rain for that late bus or miss it entirely because it was early. Portland Rider has alarms that help you get to the bus on time and even wake you up from that nap when your stop is approaching. On-line schedules are updated as soon as the transit agencies publish them, so you won't have to worry about out-of-date information.

Track your ride in real time
With more and more agencies supporting real-time GPS tracking of vehicles, we are able to provide you with up-to-the-minute status for many of your rides. So no more standing in the rain waiting for that bus that's 20 minutes late, or missing that early bus all together. In addition to real-time information, Portland Rider has comprehensive schedules, that are often better than the ones you get from the transit agencies themselves.

The Portland Rider home screen is designed to get you the information you need quickly. See nearby stops favorite stops and real time bus schedules at a glance. Track your current ride, get easy access to on-line schedules and view local maps.

Get alarms for your ride
Portland Rider features two kinds of ride alarms. Set up a "Begin Alarm" to be notified when the ride you are trying to catch is arriving at your stop of choice. Once you are riding, set up an "End Alarm" that will warn you when your destination is approaching. So feel free to take a nap or read that book. Green Rider has got you covered.

Full on-line schedules
With full schedules of all stops and routes you never have to worry about having out-of-date schedule information. Need to look up times for a new route on the fly? No problem. Our schedules are always up to date and include a convenient map, and are often even more comprehensive than what you can get from the transit agencies themselves.

Note when using End Alarms: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
