Real GPS Application (5 stars)
Combines a user friendly application with a hard core mapping application with a choice of maps... Everyone should have this if they're interested in where they are the planet.

Replaces my printed maps in the car (4 stars)
This is among my favorite apps on the iPad. I'm a rail fan and enjoy exploring old out of service rail lines. The MotionX map shows long abandoned railroad rights of way, including company names. I've found old rights of way that have totally disappeared over the years, as well as current active lines with this app.

This app is best with a 3G or 4G iPad which includes the GPS hardware. In fact I bought a 3G iPad 2 largely because it
