DescriptionABG is a multipurpose medical calculator. The three calculators include functionality to:1) Analyse arterial blood gasses 2) Output a recommended FIO2, given a determined pO2, FIO2 and a desired pO2 3) Perform hemodynamic calculations utilizing the Fick principle. 4) Determine drip rate from desired dosing for an infusion (or vice-versa) Please use at your own discretion. No guarantee of the accuracy of the data is implied. What's New in Version 1.3Minor bug fixes.Added an IV drip rate calculator Customer ReviewsNot As Accurate As I Hoped (1 star)I was initially excited about this app. But soon after I started entering values while on an ICU rotation, I realized it wasn't exactly accurate. Like others mentioned, it uses predicted values instead of calculated values. Some of the answers are technically correct, like the app may say "respiratory acidosis, metabolic alkalosis" instead of meaning the metabolic alkalosis is partially compensated. Either way, I don't trust this a Wrong Many Times (1 star) Free or otherwise, this app is wrong too often. As a quick example, say pH is 7.56 (hi), pCO2 is 12 (low), and HCO3 is 26 (normal). Anyone with a medical background should realize this is acute respiratory alkalosis. However, this app says respiratory alkalosis & metabolic alkalosis. Oops. DO NOT BUY (1 star) This is never accurate and completely false. I would not rely on this is a medical environment
