Weight Watchers Barcode Scanner uses the latest technology to take the guesswork out of shopping for foods that will help you stay on track. Whether youre in the supermarket, at home or on the go, you can easily scan foods to help make smarter decisions.

To find PointsPlus values, all you need is an internet connection. Weight Watchers Barcode Scanner gives you access to thousands of brand name foods. It still works with your Weight Watchers Mobile tracking app and your Plan Manager, so once youve scanned a food, you can add it to your PointsPlus Tracker and your Favorites. You can also compare multiple scanned products.

Without a connection, you can compare your previously scanned items, access your scanning history and other lists, and use the PointsPlus calculator. With Weight Watchers Barcode Scanner, youll have even more tools to help you live a healthy lifestyle.

Misleading App Requirements (1 star)
The update March 20, 2012 does not address the problem only works on the HD camera.
The bar code reader, unlike previous bar code reader apps, only works on the high resolution camera which is not available on the iPodTouch4G. WW knows this and has not qualified their description of the app. The one saving grace is you can manually enter the bar codes and retrieve the information. Over a month later, and still nothing is fixed!

Not reliable (1 star)
This is a wonderful idea if it worked properly. When in the store 80% of the time it can't read it and then a few minutes later when I'm two aisles over it may pop pun TOO LATE. Or I get many error messages. Not to mention many brand name products are missing. Too much unreliablility for me to trust. Will not use anymore.

Saves time (5 stars)
I just discovered this app and I love that it is easier to find points while shopping in a store and I'm in a hurry. But I just read some of the previous reviews so I'll be checking that the barcode reader is giving me the correct points or I will stop using it. But so far it's been just fine. And it does have 'serving' sizes with the description.
