Chrimbell by Golden Gekko
DescriptionSo let me get this straight, theres a bell in my phone? I dont get it.Santa Turn your iphone into a Christmas carol playing handbell with Chrimbell. Choose from one of three bells and ring-a-long to Jingle Bells, Ding Dong Merrily on High, Silent Night, Away in a Manger, Little Donkey, Oh Come Ye Faithful and Auld Lang Syne. Youre probably thinking; that sounds complicated, wouldnt I have to know a lot about bells and isnt bell ringing one of the dark arts?. Not a bit of it, Chrimbell could not be simpler. Select your bell and choose a carol. Then simply ring your iphone as you would a bell. Each ringing movement will sound a note of your chosen carol. Play as fast or a slow as you like. But you dont have to go bell solo, oh no. Gather together you chums and form a hand bell chorus. Pick a note each, follow the music and ring your bell when its your turn. A sort of guitar-hero, but with bells and more glitter. Chrimbell is the modern carollers must have, a sort of carolling 2.0, as perfect impressing friends as it is for annoying strangers. But best of all, its yours for free with good tidings from the Ogilvy Group. Merry Christmas with bells on! Actual bells! What's New in Version 1.1Same amount of fun the end message has been slightly changed, Merry Christmas!Customer ReviewsGreat fun! (5 stars)No matter how many times I play the three carols in this app, I always end up smiling and laughing! There is just something wonderfully silly about using my iPhone as a handbell! Try it and I'll bet you can't play an entire song without smiling--I dare you! My three year old LOVES this! (5 stars) My three year old LOVES this and the rest of the family thinks it's cool too. I do wish you could do a two player version in addition to the 4 and 7 player option. Also, would love more songs. Maybe a year arround version, with a ton of songs. I would be willing to pay for that version. Otherwise a great app! Bell-ringing nostalgia (4 stars) For a free app, this isn't too bad! As a former bell ringer, I had to give this a try - and it's definitely a keeper. I just wish some of the notes were more in tune. (I noticed it most on "Silent Night".) So, it won't replace a real bell choir - but it's good fun. Oh - a tip for non-ringers: try flicking your wrist - like you would for hammering a nail or casting for fly-fishing.
