DescriptionFlashcards Deluxe is an easy to use, yet powerful flashcard app which you can use to study just about anything you want. Text to speech (TTS) audio in 18 languages (no internet connection needed to study) Multiple choice option Spelling tests (listen to audio and use keyboard to answer) Searchable listing of your cards that allows you to easily look up other terms as you study Organize decks in folders and combine decks for studying Several flashcard color themes to choose from (sky, wood, chalkboard, etc.) Divide cards into categories 1 to 5 sided cards Include pictures and sounds. Zoom into pictures. You can create flashcards either on your computer or directly within the app. If you don't want to make your own, you can browse and download flashcards from Quizlet.com and FlashcardExchange.com. Creating cards on your computer is an easy process of making a two column list of questions and answers in a text editor or spreadsheet, copy/pasting your list into our website, and then downloading it to your device. (Note: iPod users will need Wi-Fi with internet access to import.) You can also transfer flashcards using Dropbox, Google Docs or even your own web server. Tap on the new icon at the bottom of the main deck listing screen.• App Colors - change the overall color scheme of the app. Global Options > App Colors. There are a few predefined options, plus the ability to create a custom color scheme. • Preview single card - In the card listing screen, press and hold a row to view as a flashcard • Notes vs Extra Info - Notes are now shown in an editable view with keyboard for quick editing. There is a new field called "Extra Info" which shows text in a full screen html view, like the old Notes were shown. In your text import, use the column header "Extra Info" to use this new field. As a temporary feature, you can move your existing Notes to this new field by going to the deck edit screen then tapping "Advanced". • Card listing - Added a filter for cards with notes (makes them easy to find) • Drawing - Added option to disable "double-tap to clear" behavior • Spaced Repetition updates - New "Postpone" command in study screen - delay the card but don't change the current interval - Better randomization in certain situations - Cards now shown in exact order if "Cards Become New" set to "In Order" • TTS updates - Added Cantonese (Chinese) and Brazilian Portuguese - Ignore text in parenthesis - option in TTS options (defaults to off) - Added support to create a pause with html: vtml_pause time="2000"/> • Slideshow - added ability to "lock" screen when putting in pocket. Tap bottom-center button in browse, then "Lock Screen" • Other updates: - Added sound option to respect mute switch - Card layouts can now specify which side to copy to the pasteboard Customer ReviewsCould be better! (5 stars)So far this is the best I think. But it could be better. I've been using Flashcard Deluxe for one more years, and it helped me memorized 10000+ English words. I cannot imagine how I could accomplish that without it. Now it is the app I am using most frequently. But I think it could be little better. For example, new words need to review more times, actually, I think it is better to treat new words particularly. Indispensable (5 stars) Got me through Arabic DLI with 3 kids 2 dogs a wife that was pregnant for half of it. First time go! Amazing Wonderful, wonderful (5 stars) This app blows away all the competition among flash card apps. It has advanced learning modes, audio clips, a spelling mode, and easy synchronization - what else could a student want?
