[ ] () 19511977()700 [ About the author ] Hyakkimaru Hyakkimaru was born in 1951 in Yamanashi prefecture. He graduated from the department of architecture in the School of Engineering at the University of Toyo. After gaining job experience, Hyakkimaru started cutout art in Tokoname, Aichi prefecture in 1977. His first piece was a book cover for Okei, which was written by Mitsugu Saotome (Bunsyun library). So far Hyakkimaru has handled over 700 cutouts for the covers of independent books, magazines, and libraries. He is active as a cutout designer who represents Japan worldwide.
