Free Audiobooks provides an amazing selection of best selling and professionally narrated audiobooks that can be download (over EDGE, 3G, or Wi-Fi) to your iPhone or iPod touch, absolutely free. No strings attached.

Why listen to digitally narrated audiobooks or books read by amateurs like the other apps offer. The Free Audiobooks titles are read by top narrators and produced by the worlds largest audio publishers. These titles typically sell at leading sites like Audible.com, iTunes, christianaudio.com and for $10-$30.

How it works:
Each month the list of free audiobooks is updated and each title can be downloaded at any time for a limited time. Once you've downloaded a free audiobook it will remain in the Free Audiobooks app until you delete it.

In order to listen to a free audiobook it must first be downloaded to your device. Each title is roughly 28MB/hour of audio. This means it can take several minutes to download a title depending on your internet connection. While it is possible to download free audiobooks via your iPhones data signal, it is highly recommended that you do so over Wi-Fi.

*** NOTE ***
We have received complaints from a number of users reporting incomplete audio or silent tracks within titles that they've downloaded. These issues seem to be intermittent and for almost all of these cases, deleting the application and reinstalling it fixes the problem.

Limited choices and abundance of crashes (2 stars)
After a frustrated and fruitless (bookless) try of a previous version, I gave this update another chance. Finally get some books to download - they redesigned the interface, but still very limited choices: 20 books in total - vast majority from a single source called Mission Audio Publishers. (It doesn't solely promote religious content - far from it. But the Tolstoy shorts collection is made of questionable selections.) Quality of the re

The latest update. Nothing plays. NOTHING. The selection doesn't bother me, I like the classics, both what good does it do if I can't listen to them? I'll keep it for now, but if it doesn't get fixed soon I'm looking for a new app.

This app only gives you like 12 titles to choose from! None of which I have any interest in reading!
