1.3 update information


1.3 update includes support for iOS 5. This update takes advantage of new features in iOS 5, implementing an asynchronous, turn-based multiplayer games mode using Game Center.

Players can now also earn new powerful cards for their decks by recruiting their friends to the game, using the in-game friend referrals system. There are 3 new cards to earn:

Baphomet card - Increases the damage from all the owners spell cards by 50%.
Vassal of Water card - Heals 10 life to owner when summoned. Water mana growth +1. Attack equals water mana.
Traitor card - Destroys targeted opponents card.

Additional new 1.3 features include:
A new 'Pass and Play' multiplayer mode for playing against friends on a single device
Option to auto-complete all of the mage sets for players who purchase the full unlocked game

Ruined by cheap marketing ploys that wreck multiplayer balance (1 star)
I formerly rated this game 5 stars and enjoyed it very much. But the 1.3 update introduced 3 new cards that are given to you only if you spam no less than 16 people with emails enticing the to play the game. This means to achieve parity in multiplayer games, you must spam 16 friends or strangers. Stay away from this game; what balance-breaking ploy will they roll out next?

Free for about 5 minutes, then pump your friends and pay $10. Not worth it

I agree that the three free SPAM cards is not the way to go... (2 stars)
I like the ability to now have asynchronous turn-based play, thank you. The requirement of spamming 16 friends to get three free cards is troubling and if you have more than one iDevice using the same game center account you need to spam another 16 friends to get the cards on that device. If I remove the game and put it back, will I have to spam another 32 people to get the free cards back? Why is that not carried over to my other devices
