What's New in Version 2.1

Now works with select JVC head units to allow display of your iRadar app on JVC's large touch screens.

Added option to play alert audio through either the phone or the iRadar detector. Previously radar alert audio could only be played on the detector. Now alerts can be heard through Bluetooth Handsfree devices or through A2DP streaming on your car stereo.

Improved battery consumption while in background mode.

Great Excellent

Getting there but needs work (2 stars)
I think you're using the API wrong. When the app opens it hijacks the audio from anything else playing audio rather than register itself as a non music audio source which will pause the playing music whenever your app needs to play something. Then when it is done, the music source will start playing again.
