The app is a comprehensive, interactive catalog of the extensive performance product line from Yoshimura R&D containing live links to additional application and product info as well as videos. Yoshimura R&D was started back in 1971 by Pops Yoshimura and has climbed its way to the top of the industry with a storied history of strong R&D, manufacturing and racing experience.

Hideo Pops Yoshimura was born in 1922 in Fukuoka City, Japan. He was trained as a military airplane mechanic, but after his time in the service, he made a name for himself working on the BSA and Triumph motorcycles of American servicemen stationed in Japan in the 1950s. Pops reputation as a master bike tuner grew boundlessly, thanks to his talent for hand altering stock parts to make them perform more efficiently and produce more power.

The first Yoshimura shop opened in 1954. Though Pops found himself tweaking planes, cars, and pretty much anything with a combustion engine, his true passion was motorcycles. Yoshimuras promise of performance and power lead to a constant influx of orders and the shop boomed with business. But Pops wanted more. His love of racing and his fascination with the legendary Daytona 200 fueled his move in 1971. Pops took leave of Yoshimura Japan and opened Yoshimura Research and Development in Los Angeles, California. His singular goal was to race superbikes in Daytona.

That goal and passion led to Yoshimuras domination and success in AMA Superbike over the last several decades. Over the last twelve years, Team Yoshimura Suzuki has won an unprecedented eight AMA Superbike championships.

Today, Yoshimura is the leader in the design and manufacturing of performance motorcycle exhaust systems, electronics and hard parts.
